| This, the first volume in a new series for researchers and professionals in the plant
sciences, focuses on Arabidopsis, one of the most important model systems for studying
gene regulation and development in flowering plants at the molecular level. The volume
brings together many of the most outstanding contributors to this area, and is directed at
plant physiologists, developmental biologists, biochemists, meolecular biologists and
geneticists. Mary Anderson is Director of the Arabidopsis Biological Stock Centre,
University of Nottingham. Jeremy A. Roberts is Reader in Plant Biology, University of
Nottingham.
