Unless otherwise indicated, terms are net 30 days.  Prepayment is required for new accounts until a credit history is established.

A handling charge of $15.00 to will be added to seed orders totaling less than $25.00.  A minimum charge of $15.00 will also be added to any order which involves special requests for handling not typical or required for most other orders.   All prices are US dollars (USD). 

Effective January 1, 2010, LEHLE SEEDS instituted a new Customs Documentation Preparation (CDP) fee. The CDP fee will be a minimum $35 USD and will be applied to all orders shipped to destinations outside the U.S.

Payment by credit card or purchase order is preferred.  Payment by checks, international demand drafts or similar instruments is acceptable as long as the payment is 1) denominated in U.S. dollars, 2) payable through a U.S. Bank whose name and address is printed on the instrument, 3) is electronically readable with Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) bottom edge coding and 4) the bank routing code consists of 9 digits. Checks or other instruments  which do not meet these requirements will be returned.   IMPORTANT NOTICE:  LEHLE SEEDS charges a $75 service fee to return and process all non-conforming checks received after orders have been shipped.  

Also acceptable is payment by international postal money order or payment via a Western Union provider.  Payment can also be made, using PayPal, to our account.  

LEHLE SEEDS's stated policy for the last few years has been not to accept payment by bank wire transfers if the amount is less than $2,500.00 USD.  But due to continued requests for this payment method despite our objections, LEHLE SEEDS, as of March 23, 2010, has decided to allow established customers to pay by wire transfer if they pay a Wire Transfer Processing Fee (WTP) of $50.00.  Customers choosing this payment method are reminded to reference our invoice number on your wire transfer.

LEHLE SEEDS accepts payment through VISA and MasterCard credit cards .

Domestic orders for seed and other products are shipped via UPS ground, with insurance on orders over $100.00.  International orders are generally shipped by FEDEX and occasionally UPS.   All shipments will be insured.  Actual shipping cost plus any insurance fee will be charged.  A USDA-issued phytosanitary certificate may be required for some international seed orders at a cost to the customer of $105 USD. Customers who want express or overnight service will be charged for it and must request this when the order is placed.  

International customers are responsible for payment of any and all customs duties,  taxes and other related fees.  LEHLE SEEDS prefers that overseas customers utilize the servers of a designated Customs Broker (CB) and provide CB contact information at the time the order is placed.  If no CB is identified, FEDEX will automatically assume this role for the customer.  If the customer has their own FEDEX account,  LEHLE SEEDS prefers that customers provide their FEDEX account number at the time the order is placed so customs duties and other fees can automatically be billed to their account.  If the customer does not have a FEDEX account, then FEDEX will expect payment of all customs duties at the time of delivery.  This circumstance should be avoided since FEDEX will declare a shipment as refused if the driver is not paid for customs due.

LEHLE SEEDS no longer ships orders via postal mail unless there is no other alternative (e.g. seeds to Japan).  All orders are shipped F.O.B. Round Rock, TX, USA.

We process orders as rapidly as we can.  Our stated policy is to ship all in stock items within 5 business days. Out of stock items will be backordered.  Generally customers will be notified within 5 business days of all backordered items and given an estimate of shipping date.  (Note as of Jan. 2009: LEHLE SEEDS is currently understaffed due to the global recession and very possibly will not be able to provide the above level of service in all instances.  Our preferred method of communication with customers during this period is by fax at 1-512-388-3974 as opposed to email.)

We encourage customers to order seeds and growing systems well in advance of expected use so you have them when you need them.

ARASYSTEM orders outside the U.S., Canada and South America should be placed with Beta Tech bvba which is headquartered in Ghent (Gent) Belgium.

A $500 USD retainer is required to schedule custom projects which are billed monthly thereafter.  Custom project shipment will not occur before the account balance is settled.
