P is the frequency of initial cells with albino embryo mutations (e.g. 68/528 = 0.129) and M is the mean number of albino embryo mutations per one initial cell, i.e. -ln(1-P). P and M were calculated as described by Mednik (Mednik, I.G., 1988. AIS 26:67-72).
